The Revolution Gallery Jan 2012

Resistance requires besides will and courage also creativity. The created images below are documenting our activity during the period end of October until now. A lot of the topics refer to actual themes like the Arab League monitors' mission or the the stance of the Russian regime towards Assad.

The first one we created three months ago. I hope the devil might forgive us for that comparison, at least he won't be as bad as Bashar himself.

Every Syrian city has their heroes resisting against the regime but Homs has become a symbol for the freedom movement. Down in the left corner one of the epic Homsis stands against regime forces being meanwhile an icon.

One of the most (in-)famous quotes of Assad inspired us to this image of the blood running all over the country.

The inability of the global community - be it the UN or in this case the G-20 summit - is shown here with an almighty Assad appearing diabolically in the background.

Token from the movie poster 'Righteous Kill' both brothers, Bashar and Maher are seen as the ruthless killers they are - especially Maher known for his violent temper. Given that circumstance it gives us really the goosebumps imagining that he's controlling the army forces.

Indeed a justified question. If the GCC's role during the Yemen/Saleh crisis last year was a farce the AL monitors' mission was a true disaster.

It always depends on the camera angle. Only a handpicked crowd celebrating the leader's 'spontaneous' appearance. The cameraman who has token the uncovering reverse shot was arrested a few days later.

Inspired by the famous lullaby Putin's protection of Assad is criticized in this arrangement.

Assad's favoutite toy, the Syrian Electronic Army, as we see it.

In remembrance of the 1982 Hama massacre committed by Bashar's father Hafez.

As long as the regime's still in power the series will continue as a small tribute to the Syrian freedom movement pointing to the numerous other images protesters in and outside Syria have created (and going to create).
