Battle Rhymes Pt 4 - Adamantine

Part four takes a look on the events taking place in Yemen. The title shall reflect the people's attitude towards the rigid regime and the 'master' of the cat-and-mouse game, Abdullah Ali Saleh. Most Yemenis are living underneath the poverty line and are suffering in addition a corrupt tyranny they deserve to get rid of.

since nearly one year
the people have no fear
to raise their voices daily against their ruling premier
but he refused to get clear
to end his tyrant career
instead he chosed to impudently persevere

but he had to face the fact
that the real persisting act
was from a peaceful generation organized and backed
but he got always side-tracked
that they want to have him sacked
instead the unarmed ones are getting attacked

negotiations started
apparently fainthearted
signing the deal demanded
agreements take for granted
proposal sheets forwarded
the GCC's been guarded
a lot of troops were sent and
the protests bloody ended

time to end the dirty games
time to share the real aims
time to free the Yemenis
time to grant them hope and peace

an exploding grenade
interrupted the charade
the ruler suffered burnings first and second grade
in his messages conveyed
power maintaining arrayed
the freedom wanting people felt themselves fooled and betrayed

the rallies still continued
the ruler undervalued
the will for peace, progressive change and justice clearly issued
Nobel committee honored
resistance flow unarmored
to raise worldwide awareness mainly from strong women bothered

meanwhile the ruler signed
a treatment which has bind
him speedy to resign
but he's still disinclined
to leave it all behind
and therefore much-maligned
being dumb, deaf and blind
an unregenerate mind

time to end the dirty games
time to share the real aims
time to free the Yemenis
time to grant them hope and peace

time to topple the regime
to realize the people's dream
time to free the Yemenis
time to grant them hope and peace
