#stopACTA - Munich 11/2/2012

Despite icecold temperatures reportedly between 16.000 and 20.000 took part alone in Munich at the worldwide protests against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement which poses a threat to the web freedom as its' US sister acts SOPA and PIPA.

Whoever expected a group of computer nerds walking the Maximilians place along became disabused. A multicolored fraction mainly under the banners of the local Pirate party and Guy Fawkes' masks mixed with some left fractions and what we caracterize usually as ordinary citizens (without deprecatingly undertone).

In comparison to last Saturday's protest march against the global arms lobby on the occasion of the Munich Security Conference the anti-ACTA rally sets a new mark: the worlwide protest culture has reached Munich. In Syrian said: they've reached Aleppo. The discontent of the people becomes more and more publicly shown. The representatives should not only take notice of that but especially do something or the protesting civilians' movement will become very fast weekly, if necessary daily normality.
